1. What do I get for my entry fee?
Lots and lots! Three day Festival with live music, seminars, post-race barbeque with clam Chowdah and Jordan's Ice Cream, custom multi-color technical shirt, Headsweats hats, the best goody bags, imprinted swim cap, finishers medal, towel and waterbottle, custom awards, great giveaways, complimentary post-race massage, great Race Announcing by Andy Schachat and Adam Reiser, boat, motorcycle, and radio support, USAT Officials and Marshals, the best volunteers and staff anywhere, and naturally an accurate, spectacular, and safe race course.

2. How can I sign up for the events?

3. Will there be relays?
No, there will be NO relays at these events.

4. What are the minimum age limits for race participants?
Mooseman International-15 years
Ironman 70.3 Mooseman-18 years.

5. How will I receive my race packet?
Athlete check-in for Mooseman International will take place on Friday evening from 5-7:00pm and Saturday morning at 6:00am at Wellington State Park in Bristol.

Athlete check-in for Ironman 70.3 Mooseman will take place on Friday from 5:00-7:00pm and Saturday from 2:00-7:00pm at Wellington State Park in Bristol at the MooseFEST.

USAT members must bring a photo ID and a USAT membership card or purchase a one-day license on-site during check-in. Athlete Check-In is not available on race day. For more information, please contact mooseman70.3@ironman.com.

6. Where is the race site?
Wellington State Park, 650 West Shore Road, Alexandria, NH 03222.

7. Can I pick my race packet up on race day?
Athlete check-in is not available on race day. For more information, please contact mooseman70.3@ironman.com.

8. Can I register on race day?
No, as the race will be full prior to race day. This event is expected to fill up quickly, so remember to register early.

9. Are there any maps of the race venue?
Run and bike course maps are posted on the race page.

10. What will the weather be like race weekend?
No guarantees on weather but the average temperature in early June is 74 degrees. The average low is 60 degrees. Great temperatures for a triathlon.

11. What are the expected water temperatures?
Water temperatures average about 62 degrees F. Wetsuits are highly recommended.

12. What sports drinks and gels are available on the course?
See event pages. Gatorade Endurance Formula, PowerBar Energy gels, PowerBars, and Water.

13. What can I do before and after the race?
Besides the many fun things to do in the lakes region, you are of course invited to MooseFEST and MooseVillage (a three-day event, see schedule for details).

14. Is there a Pasta Dinner?

15. How do I get a refund if I cannot attend?
Refunds will NOT be permitted for Mooseman International.

Ironman 70.3 Mooseman Refund/Withdraw Policy:
Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Mooseman70.3@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before April 15, 2010 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted.

16. Do I need to be present to receive my award?
Out of respect for all of the award winners, you must be present to receive your award. No awards will be mailed.

17. What address should I use to have mapquest map Wellington State Park for me?

18. Will spectators be able to get and in out of Wellington State Park during the race?
Not during the majority of the race. Cars will not be allowed to enter the facility after 7am and will not be allowed to leave until after the last biker returns. There will be a bunch of great stuff going on during the event, so make a day of it!

19. Where's the nearest airport?
Manchester, NH is the closest airport (1 hr away)

20. If I fly in, will I need a car?
Yes, the event is several miles away from the airports.

21. Can I ship my bike to a local bike shop?
MC Cycle and Sport will receive your bike. MC Cycle specializes in bike fitting, building, and service. Ship your bike to them, they'll assemble it, give it a race tuneup, and disassemble and ship back to you following the race. 22. What is available for accommodations?

23. What is USAT and why do I need a one-day permit?
USAT is the national governing body for triathlons and duathlons in the United States. A one-day license allows a novice athlete to compete in a USA Triathlon-sanctioned race without purchasing a full $30 membership.

24. Is it better to join USAT or buy the one-day permit?
Ironman 70.3 Mooseman and Mooseman International is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD Adult; $5.00 USD Youth) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site. Please visit www.usatriathlon.org for a complete set of the competitive rules.

25. How do I join USAT?
For information on joining USAT, call the National Office at 1-800-TRI-1USA or log on via their website at www.usatriathlon.org. However, if you join online you will not be able to get the club membership discount.

26. What happens if I don't have my USAT card at packet pick up?
You will have to pay for a non-refundable USAT one-day $10.00 USD membership.

27. How does chip timing work?
Each athlete will wear a 'chip' that transmits data to the receiving antenna when the athlete crosses a timing mat.

28. Where do I wear the chip?
A neoprene strap is used to strap the chip to your ankle. You will be given a band when you pick-up your rental chip. Relay teams will use velcro straps to assist in a smooth exchange. Relay members will transfer the timing chip to their teammate following the completion of their leg of the race.

29. Where and when do I pick up my timing chip?
Your timing chip will be found in your packet, which will be picked up at athlete check-in..

30. Do I need to wear the chip for the entire race?
Yes, timing mats will be set up to record splits for each leg and transition. If you do not have the chip on when you cross the finish line you are not guaranteed a finish time.

31. Can I keep my chip?
No, chips must be returned as soon as finish your race.

32. Can I use my own chip?
No, as Winning Time Chips are not compatible with ABD.

33. How many qualifying slots are there for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater , Fl and how are they distributed?
Fifty (50) qualifying slots for the 2010 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3. (November 13, 2010, in Clearwater, Florida) will be awarded to the top professional and age group finishers. Final slot allocation will be determined on race day based on the number of official starters. You must claim your slot in-person prior to the Awards Banquet. Please be prepared to pay the $325.00 USD entry fee with check or credit card (A $25.00 USD processing fee will be added to credit card charges). Any unclaimed slots will be rolled down to the next eligible finishers.
